Miss Daisy Belle came into our lives like no other new member of the family we have ever known. She was so full of life and mischief. That to say that she was a hand full would be the most understated statement in history. We decided to enroll Miss Daisy into an obedience school in Dale. On her first day of school, she was the largest "puppy" in the class. At only 18 pounds, we thought she would surely fit in, however, the next largest "puppy" in the class was a 1 year old miniature dachshund weighing in at almost 6 pounds. After only a short time, Miss Daisy was attempting to carry it around like a new toy. Needless to say, the owner was less than pleased with Miss Daisy's playfulness. We never had a new puppy flunk out of school on the first day! Next, we sought out a professional one-on-one trainer in Indianapolis. We reluctantly agreed to part with Miss Daisy for three to four weeks on the premise that when we were re-united with her, we would that well mannered member of the family as our other pets of the past. That was not to be the case. While Miss Daisy passed and received her "diploma", she fell well short of our expectations. We decided to look within and use the same methods of teaching that we had used on other family members (both human and animal) in the past. We seemed to have some success, however, Miss Daisy would always rise to the occasion and prove that she could " adapt and revert" as quickly as we could orchestrate new teaching methods. Then by chance, during a visit to our long time trusted veterinarian and friend, John Purdue of Newburgh, we learned of Jennefer Schmett. We immediately contacted Jennifer and scheduled our first in-house consultation with all parties. Miss Daisy was a little reluctant to try a new "trainer" based her past experience, however, Jennifer convinced her with some sweet talk and a couple pounds of "treats". The training of Miss Daisy Belle (and us) is a work in progress. Jennifer has a such a remarkable way with "man's best fiend". Miss Daisy actually looks forward to having Jennifer come to the house to visit. Both Carole and I have come to love and appreciate Jennifer as both a professional and wonderful person. She has become another un-official member of our family, we love her dearly.

Last spring we lost our dear Tiffany after 15 years and by summer we ready to have our home once again filled with the patter of 4 feet, or maybe even 8 feet. We went to the VHS and found two dogs, Shelby & Lacey, that had already been returned once. This week has been a mess. Starting on Monday, our two bigger dogs decided to start fighting. Before Monday night, they had scratches and puncture wounds from constant fighting. So we had to separate everyone until we could figure out an answer so I called everyone I knew and started searching for answers. On Tuesday, we took Abby to the vet to try to get some answers, their advice was a spay and keeping them separated. If spaying Abby didn't solve the issue, we were going to have to re-home. We were distraught and losing our minds, feeling terrible about having to keep one of the two locked up and trying our best to alternate and keep it even while we wait for the earliest possible time to get Abby spayed. Then I decided that there had to be another answer somewhere. So Wednesday I started calling again, and it finally led me to Jennifer Schmett. I was skeptical that I would be wasting money to try but I didn't have any other answers. So last night she come to our house. And now we have a happy family again. We still have work that needs done, and some attitudes and habits to be fixed. But from not being able to look at each other, to this in one night. I was impressed. I have had my fair share of working with training and trying to fix. But she really taught me so much more than I knew If anyone you know need help with their fur babies, give her a shot. She really helped us alot!

On Tuesday, we took Abby to the vet to try to get some answers, their advice was a spay and keeping them separated. If spaying Abby didn't solve the issue, we were going to have to re-home. We were distraught and losing our minds, feeling terrible about having to keep one of the two locked up and trying our best to alternate and keep it even while we wait for the earliest possible time to get Abby spayed. Then I decided that there had to be another answer somewhere. So Wednesday I started calling again, and it finally led me to Jennifer Schmett. I was skeptical that I would be wasting money to try but I didn't have any other answers. So last night she come to our house. And now we have a happy family again. We still have work that needs done, and some attitudes and habits to be fixed. But from not being able to look at each other, to this in one night. I was impressed. I have had my fair share of working with training and trying to fix. But she really taught me so much more than I knew If anyone you know need help with their fur babies, give her a shot. She really helped us alot!

Willy was 2 years old when I rescued him from an animal shelter. I learned upon meeting him that he was in a previous shelter with plans to euthanize him because he was deemed "unadoptable" and would growl at any and every one who approached him. He was "diagnosed" with fear aggressive disposition. The shelter I adopted him from had him in their custody for 6 months and living with a foster family where he improved some, but still needed a lot of work. He had been passed up by many families before we decided to adopt him because of his aggression. The first night I brought him home, he bit me, hard. I found myself afraid of him. I could not kennel him or bathe him. He would not let me leash him either. He kept us awake all night long barking for the first month. We could forget having guests over because he would bark and growl at everyone. I was terrified he would bite someone. I read books on obedience training and watched videos on things to try, but ultimately failed. Willy was not improving and I was ultimately looking to take him back to the shelter unless things changed.....and in comes Jennifer. She was a Heaven sent! Jennifer spent 2 hours at my house the first session working with Willy and myself and teaching me how to respond appropriately to things he did. After one session with her, I was able to kennel Willy ( actually, he walked in the kennel himself!), I was able to bathe and blow dry him, and I put a leash on him without him trying to bite me!! I was so impressed! I have called her many times to conquer other tasks, such as not barking at the doorbell and sleeping through the night. Willy is calmer now and is welcoming to my guests. He is now a huge cuddle bug. He has made major progress thanks to Jennifer! She also takes care of Willy while we are on vacation by doing home visits as many times per day as needed and she is the only person I trust to do so. I am quick to recommend her to friends and have heard their success stories after one session. She is the real deal guys! No matter how big or little your dog's problematic behaviors are, she can fix them and teach you how to take care of them yourself in the process. For the most part, she was pretty good. Very few accidents in the house, she didn't chew on stuff.. However, no matter how many other dogs she was around, she was always aggressive. I knew I needed help with fixing this issue, but I didn't have $400-$600 to spend on a trainer. That's where Jennifer comes i n. I actually found her from this website and I reached out. This woman is amazing. Not only is she affordable, she went out of her way to make sure Willow was getting better. We went to her together a total of 2 times. We soon discovered that we needed someone to help us that had more experience working with dogs with behavioral issues.
